The Dwarven Sky City of Glidanski. … or something.
So I’ve been doing those art challenges for this month, has me pumped for art. So I decided to try to channel some of that energy into my original characters. I’ve had this world and characters swimming around my mind since 2008, I really need to give them some more love. So here are some simple pieces I whipped up of them. Woo.
Commission for Illa, check out her art blog here!
Two of her characters. The Wizard was challenged to lift that big ol’ hammer but he doesn’t take to kindly to being laughed at! Looks like Hammer guy is going to have long hike to get his Hammer back.
Yeah, I had so much fun drawing these little dudes I did some extra just for fun!
If you are interested in helping out I am now officially open for commissions! I’ll draw you any sort of silly picture you want. Better yet I’ll even draw you a comic! Got a silly story to tell or just want to see some of your favorite characters doing something crazy together or you and your significant other on an adventure? Lets make it happen! I’ll draw you, fan characters, original characters or fan art, doesn’t matter! Regular old pictures or comics not enough? I’ll draw up and animate whatever you want in the form of an animated gif! Lots of options people, lets make this happen.
Details and examples after the cut:
A pretty good description of suburban retrofit, in cartoon form. Dr. Seuss would be proud even if it doesn’t rhyme.
I was going to insert a long rant here about how much better life was when I was in the city and could live car free and walk everywhere and the other benefits of smart walkable and transit oriented cities but… nah. If you care you can watch the cartoon. Which is really more about climate change I suppose but it really all just ties together. If you really do pretend to care about the environment you can’t deny that how we build these suburban cities today is unsustainable, unhealthy and frankly irresponsible.
