Day 13 - A comic and a squiggle man. Squiggly enough.
Day 12 - Most recent accomplishment and meaty legs.
Most recent accomplishment? Idk, I cooked dinner? And meaty legs, oh god the horror.
Day 11 - Turning point in your life and a terrible surprise.
Try as I might and as cheesy as it may sound, meeting my girlfriend was probably the biggest turning point in my life. So many other changes in my life or outlook can be traced back to her as the catalyst. A terrible surprise would have been if I had been hit by a stray vulture poop at that moment.
Day 10- Favorite candy and an unemployed video game character.
I don’t eat much candy these days but I guess I choose Swedish Fish. As for Sonic, well, his glory days are over and should be retired to unemployment.
Day 9 - Draw your favorite tv show and a gunslinger.
I’m not usually good at picking a favorite anything but I think at the moment, even though they are in reruns again, my favorite show is Bob’s Burgers. The Gunslinger was probably (most definitely) influence by me reading through the Dark Tower series at the moment though I went ahead and drew him in a style that would match Bob’s Burgers. Drawing people is a lot easier when you just throw anatomy right out the window, that’s for sure.
Day 8 - Favorite animated character and a space traveling animal.
Mega Man meets an astronaut ostrich on the moon.
Day 7 - Favorite movie and a horrible monster. Well I can’t pick just one so I drew Doc Brown and Indiana Jones. Also the horrible monster is actually just a cute Dracky from Dragon Quest.
Day 6 - Your favorite book and a mutant baby.
I can’t pick favorites very easily. The 3 books (or series) that I remember liking the most are : The Giver, The Power of One, and The Gunslinger (and the next two in the series, I haven’t read the others just yet). I’ve read plenty of other books but I think those 3 would be my favorites if I had to choose. Ok granted, when I say I read plenty of others I mean mostly the stuff they made me read in school, but The Giver and The Gunslinger and the rest of Dark Tower series I chose to read myself. Alright enough about that.
Anyway, drawings look a little better when I’m working with nice dark bold lines instead of pencil. Maybe I’ll color the next one. (doubtful)
Day 5- Your best friend and a modern dinosaur. It’s a mecha dinosaur tank. That’s modern right? My best friend is my girlfriend Deanna who is also a super hero. Yup. That’s how it is.
Also my cat was laying on this drawing for a while and smudged it up good. Not that I wasn’t doing a super job of making a smudgy mess anyway.
Day three was your favorite food and an alien life form. Ovaltine. Not a food? Too bad. Anyway I bought a scanner cord for my scanner today and it’s already shipped today too, so I’m going to go ahead and wait for that to get here before uploading anything else because taking a picture of sketches is kind of messy and dumb.
Day 2. Favorite Animal and an unusual tree.
I can’t pick just one animal so I drew a cat, duck and turtle. Then I drew another cat because I didn’t like the first one. Also the unusual tree is more like scary stump monster but OH WELL! He isn’t so scary, look at him try to play with that drunken cat.
So I remember Deanna and I were going to do a 30 day drawing challenge together a while back, she reneged on the second day and I didn’t want to do it without her but fuck it! I’m doing one this time myself. I don’t remember which one we were going to do so I’m picking this one since it was one of the first suggested by Google and tumblr. Also for some strange reason I feel awkward just doing these so I concocted my own list of 30 that I will be doing along side of them, so two per day. I really need to get back into drawing more so maybe an exercise like this will get the creative juices (or more importantly: Motivation) flowing.
Anyway yeah, I’ll be posting those here much to the dismay (or perhaps amusement!) of my followers. Oh and here is my personal list that I just made. Kind of just typed out things that popped into my head first (mostly).
